华南师范大学生命科学学院教授,博士生导师,教育部长江学者特聘教授,享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家。现任华南师范大学副校长,广东省植物发育生物工程重点实验室主任。兼任教育部高等学校生物科学类专业教学指导委员会委员,中国植物生理与植物分子生物学会理事和中国遗传学会理事。目前从事植物感受和应答高温胁迫的分子机制和植物次生代谢调控及合成生物学研究,在EMBO J,PNAS, Plant Cell和Molecular Plant等国际著名刊物上发表学术论文80余篇;2011年获第十一届"广东省丁颖科技奖";2020年获广东省自然科学奖二等奖,2008年入选“教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划”;2010年受聘为广东省“珠江学者”特聘教授,2015年入选“广东特支计划百千万工程领军人才”;2018年受聘为“长江学者”特聘教授。先后主持国家转基因重大专项重点项目、国家自然科学基金-广东联合基金重点项目和广东省“扬帆计划”创新创业团队项目等课题。
