山东烟台人。1999年本科毕业于华东师范大学生物化学专业,随后师从中国科学院上海生命科学研究院尹文英先生,从事六足动物(昆虫)基部类群(原尾纲、弹尾纲、双尾纲、石蛃目和衣鱼目)的系统发生和分子演化研究。2004年获得博士学位,并留院工作,2014年竞聘为研究员。2018年8月作为青年拔尖人才加入华南师范大学生命科学院,开展昆虫发育演化生物学(evo-devo)研究。曾获中国昆虫学会第六届青年科学技术奖,周尧昆虫分类学奖励基金二等奖,入选中国科学院青年创新促进会。先后主持和参与多项国家自然科学基金、国家转基因生物新品种培育科技重大专项和国家重点研发计划等项目。迄今,在PNAS、Mol Biol Evol、Methods Ecol Evol、Mol Ecol Resour和Development等权威期刊上发表论文60余篇,部分成果获得Faculty of 1000的推荐。
