        1994年在华南师范大学生物系获博士学位。1994-1996年在华东师范大学生物系从事博士后研究,1995-1997年任华东师范大学生物系副教授,1997-2004年先后在日本大阪市立大学理学部和美国南伊利诺斯州立大学医学院进行访问工作和博士后研究;2004年至2009,在美国贝勒医学院分子生理学和生物物理学系先后从事博士后研究和任Instructor;2010年受聘于华南师范大学生命科学学院,任教授、博导。主持国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、广东省教育厅引智专项及广东省教育厅研究生示范课程等项目,曾参与多项美国NIH研究项目,在Cell、Cell Research、Nature Communications、eLife、Cerebral Cortex、HypertensionArteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology等国内外学术期刊发表60余篇研究论文。参与翻译Biopsychology(ninth edition)《生物心理学》。目前主要运用膜片钳技术、细胞成像和生物化学方法研究神经退行性疾病和神经信号转导。为博士生、硕士生、本科生(勷勤创新班、生物科学或生物技术专业)讲授“离子通道学”、“现代神经生物学/生理学进展”、“高级神经生理学/生理学”、“细胞的跨膜信号转导”、“分子细胞生物学”、 “神经生物学/生理学实验技术”、“人体及动物生理学”、“人体解剖生理学”、“大脑的奥秘”和“神经生理学”。 

        兼任生理学/神经生物学教研室主任,华南师范大学-番禺区中心医院基础与转化医学联合实验室副主任,生命科学学院学术委员会委员(第一、二届)广东省神经科学学会副理事长(第六届),广东省生物物理学学会常务理事(第八届),广东省本科高校生物医学工程专业教学指导委员会委员,华南师范大学侨联主席(第八届),广东省侨联(第九、十、十一届)委员,广州欧美同学会(广州留学人员联谊会)理事(第六届)广东留学人员联谊会●广东欧美同学会常务理事(第一届)。曾任华南师范大学学术委员会(第六、七届)委员。
